Friday Night-Warfare 101

Battles in life are to be won, not to be endured, suffered long nor adapted to. Battles come to reveal the power of God, build stature and strength in the Spirit. However, to fight a good warfare, there are principles. In this series we aim to explore these principles in order to wage a good warfare.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The war we wage is not according to carnal channels but rather spiritual keys that enhances our victory. Knowing this, our aim is to seek out these keys through in-depth study of the Word of God, bringing about revelation and illumination.

Our first key is the understanding that we wage war, not merely for victory but from the place of victory.

“But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.””
‭‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭55‬-‭56‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A powerful rendition from a great woman of God makes this point much clearer. Hear this Beloved, in the days of old when nations would go to war, their kings would rise from their thrones pacing around until they received news of victory. In detrimental times, kings would partake in these wars and their return was not guaranteed. In our case as believers, our King has already won the victory and is seated on the right hand of God. Hence in matters of warfare, your first witness is to understand that the victory has already been won. No matter the challenge, no matter the visible evidence and weight of trouble you are faced with, your mindset should never be questioned on the matter of victory. Your duty is to place a demand on the victory that was won and to establish it in the realm of men.

Fridays are dedicated to intercession, tonight as you enter into prayer, have this mindset that the battle has already been won. You are not warring for victory merely, but warring from a place of victory.

Stay prayed up! FRIDAY ANADWO, W’ADA?
