One approved of God: the burden and the originator

”And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭34‬ ‭ESV‬‬

No one had attempted to save the people of Israel, as Moses did, just as Jesus no one had ever died for the world. But being the first to create or establish a thing does not disqualify your originality nor trivialize the weight of the burden you carry. The fact that no one has ever done so does not limit the possibilities that can be achieved. Today Beloved we dive into the originators of burdens, let’s dive into the Word…

The first you should understand beloved is that you are the man or woman of your time. Whatever the command of the Lord is, is for a time and a season at every point God chooses whom he draws into the deep. The one who heeds and aligns, He works through and with to accomplish his purposes. The dimensions of God are far too great to be limited to one project. Each of us can be used for God’s manifold dimensions. In today’s world, it seems there are only limited projects God is doing and many have held up solely to these, hence it looks as if that is all God can do. Not so, when God decided to choose Moses, he was from the tribe of the Levites, a priestly tribe. When Moses fled from Egypt, his encounter was with the family of a priest, Jethro his father-in-law was the priest of Midian (Exodus 2: 16). Where am I getting at you may wonder?

The fact here is, was there no priest God could have used but yet chose Moses? You see Beloved, Jethro or Reuel, was the priest of Midian, he had his assigned territory and his own burden to carry. This signifies then that each of us has been assigned a territory, a specific burden we need to execute. As Jesus said in Luke 10:20, the harvest is plenty yet the laborers are few, hence pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers. There is much work that needs to be done, there are still many functions in the kingdom, that men need to fulfill. As believers, we need not put down people who decide to take up their mandate and do not have to make them fall short of the support or motivation to carry out their tasks. Beloved of God, neither should you feel as though others are already doing the same thing, rather seek your territory, your message, and your mandate to fulfill.

Jesus is our perfect model with the ultimate focus and zeal in accomplishing the will of God. God had used before His time, men and women, who were prophets, judges, and warriors perhaps to achieve salvation by one means or another. But what we see from Jesus is how specific and intentional He was concerning the will of the Father. Jesus in this context is not to dispute the ultimate sacrifice he made, but to learn to tread in his footsteps. What we are bringing in perspective is how his zeal, and commitment were with clear focus and deafened to all opposition. What have you been called to do, do you know the specifics of your call and do you have the confidence in the pathway you have been called to tread? Our example Jesus, was purely human in his walk on earth but fulfilled the divine mandate. Through every step of the way, it was his focus and confidence He had in God that saw him through. He gained strength through a dose of prayer investment and continuous intimacy with God.

Hence being the first or second at an assignment does not stop you from executing any burden laid on the heart. Seek God earnestly, pursue intimacy with Him earnestly, and hereby develop uncompromising zeal and focus to do His bidding. Good morning.
