Faith is fighting for what you believe in, and acting out your expectation against all odds.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1 KJV
“for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.”
Matthew 9:21-22 KJV
The subject of faith to the daunting heart may seem like a fairy tale, but to the one that prevailed it is very testament to great victories. In our world today, faith has been made to sound like self belief, self worth, manifestation and all sorts. But to the believer faith is the very life force into divine acceleration, worship and circumvents our world.
For anything to succeed, it needs to be driven by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God and without faith it is impossible to see the hand of God. Now, once faith comes into the picture, it calls for work, resilience and a die hard nature that says if I perish, I perish. Reading from Hebrews 11:1, the concrete definition given to faith serves so well. It makes faith tangible while setting down the goals and expectations, creating a form of suspense causing hope to rise. The substance of things hoped for, meaning what you seek is as vivid as you believe; the evidence of things not seen, though not yet visible still very real and existential. Having faith is not foolishness, but it is that very thing which makes it possible. The chapter continues giving great examples of men and women of faith who by this act of bravery made tremendous impact.
God wants to be believed. It is His inherent nature to do as He says. Even as humans no one likes to be doubted, disbelieved or doubted concerning their capacity. God in His divine nature has proved times and times again that He remains the same. Capturing the woman with the issue of blood in Mathew 9:21-22, the words the Lord spoke to her–thy faith hath made thee whole, presents the notion of faith as the element that pleases God. She did not need a touch from God , but her touch of God was the cause of her healing. Before her approach she was convinced even a little touch could bring her deliverance. Hence taking the step of faith already began with an expression of belief in a positive outcome. Truly when the Bible says the just shall live by faith, it indicates that placing your hope and belief in God is the epitome of the cycle of life. God made us in His image and finds no pleasure that His creation suffers loss. But the only way to get His attention and intervention is to trust His integrity.
Beloved of God, if there is anything worth doing as the year comes to an end, please let your faith be awakened. Come to terms with this, God is faithful and counts on your faith to make the impossible possible. His nature and integrity is in check and does not waiver. He does not shift like shifting shadows, whatever His instruction follow through. It was not so He would not lay it on your heart(John 14:1-2). The proof of your faith is actions and steps you take, faith without works is dead. Happy New Month.
