Truly God can work in such a way it becomes so evident only His hand can attain the level of results achieved. There is so much He alone can take credit for.
“I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.”
Isaiah 41:18-20 KJV
“And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”
John 9:2-3 KJV
Miracles still happen and the mercy of God is still at work. There are times in any man’s life where circumstances are beyond our control. We try to manipulate our ways as much as we can but to no avail. We tend to think our much effort is all there is, but resorting to God is the very turning point we need. Pondering over the words of Isaiah 41, what dawned on my heart, is the fact that, not all wins can be attributed to our ability and capability. The weight of exigencies expressed through words in the verse may seem exaggerated but the reality is this, God is not a man that He should lie.
There are things in life we cannot always explain, seeking to understand would only lead to weariness. But you see, God shows us through such infallible proofs that He alone is God. Where the efforts of man have borne no results, His arm is stretched forth to save. There is nothing impossible with God, His works are ever ready to be made manifest, it only takes unbending faith. And so are we taught through the life of the blind man in John 9, one might question, was He made blind by God only to be healed by Him? Was it a mere test of the expression of God’s ability?
Remember, until the Messiah was made manifest, the whole earth was in darkness according to Isaiah 9:2 and referred also in Mathew 4:16; the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. This mode of darkness was not the absence of rays of light, but a grave shadow of chaos, disorder, malfunction and mutation which affected all creation. The coming of Jesus thus, was the hope of restoration reflected in the life of the blind man, as revealing the glory of God.
Beloved the manifold wisdom of God surpasses the limitations of man, His power is ready to be unveiled where hope seems lost. With God the natural man cannot even fathom the weight of expressions that can be seen. Hence he beckons in many verses; with man it is impossible but with God all things are possible (Mathew 19:26). There is a way, there is still hope, God is still in the details.
